Application Information:
CAB-0-SILTS-610 is primarily used to provide rheology control in non-polar to medium-polar inks, coatings, and adhesives, and as a free-flow agent in powder systems.

Inks, Coatings, and Adhesive Systems:
Like untreated fumed silica, TS-610 thickens through hydrogen bonding between hydroxyl groups, making it an effective thickener for non-polar to medium-polar systems. While its thickening capacity is lower than that of untreated fumed silica with the same base silica surface area, TS-610’s different thixotropic response provides improved flow and uniformity.

Powders:
TS-610’s hydrophobic surface has a lower moisture absorption capacity than untreated fumed silica with the same base silica surface area. Therefore, when used as a free-flow agent in powder systems, TS-610 will attract and absorb less moisture. TS-610 is an effective free-flow agent for moisture-sensitive powder systems. Powder systems incorporating TS-610 exhibit less or no caking and clumping when stored under high humidity and temperature conditions.
