Dow ACRYSOL ASE60 is a polymer emulsion thickener containing acidic groups. After being diluted with water and neutralized with alkali, the emulsion particles of ASE-60 will immediately expand, so the emulsion will become clear and viscous.
Dow ACRYSOL ASE60 Specifications:
Appearance: Milky white liquid
Solids content: 18%
PH: 3.5
Type: Anionic
Viscosity: Less than 50
Product Features:
Resistance to microbial corrosion
Resistance to roller-splashing
Texture retention
Anti-sagging performance
Compared to cellulose-based thickeners, ASE-60 thickener exhibits superior biostability, resisting microbial attack and maintaining high coating viscosity over time. Furthermore, it reduces spattering during roller coating. Coatings thickened primarily with ASE-60 immediately exhibit a high yield value and gel structure, which emerges immediately after shear stress is removed. This makes it particularly suitable for coating systems that feature moisture-induced 3D patterns.
