Evonik AEROSIL OX 50 Silica Original Genuine Fumed Silica

Evonik AEROSIL OX 50 is a lightweight, white, amorphous powder with an initial particle size of less than 0.3 μm. It is hygroscopic and forms fine aggregates upon exposure to moisture. It is insoluble in water and acid, but soluble in caustic soda and hydrofluoric acid. It does not decompose at high temperatures. OX50 has a relatively low specific surface area and is typically used in dental composites and other applications. It is also a popular raw material for the production of ultrapure silica glass.
