BASF Acronal 7220 is a water-based, self-crosslinking styrene acrylic emulsion suitable for nonwovens and fiber bonding, especially for specialty papers. It is primarily used for paper impregnation in the production of decorative laminates, wallpaper, and filter paper.

The addition of melamine formaldehyde resin can improve the water resistance, solvent resistance, dimensional stability, and flatness of nonwoven fabrics.
Storage: General safety regulations for chemical handling must be followed. All safety information is provided in the Material Safety Data Sheet. Recommended storage temperature is 10°C to 30°C in a cool, well-ventilated area. Avoid temperatures above 40°C or below 5°C. The packaging should be protected from freezing. When properly stored, the shelf life is at least six months (up to one year).
