BASF has new products for specialty antioxidants!

BASF will launch two new liquid antioxidants for improving the polymerization efficiency of rubber and polyvinyl chloride (PVC), providing greater design freedom for rubber and PVC products.

Irgastab IS 6113L is a new, high-performance liquid antioxidant with a low melting point for synthetic rubber, particularly butadiene rubber (BR) and styrene butadiene rubber (SBR). End-use applications include tires, footwear, gloves, conveyor belts, and other rubber products. This additive improves the color stability and Mooney viscosity of raw rubber. Its low melting point also helps ease processing.

BASF Irgastab IS 3026 L , a new emulsion antioxidant, offers an excellent balance between chain termination efficiency and thermal stability, making it particularly suitable for stabilizing PVC polymerization reactions. This cost-effective solution improves PVC quality during polymerization processes thanks to its excellent thermal stability, uniform dispersion, and simplified dosing.

Due to its high performance, Irgastab IS 3026L can be added at concentrations as low as 0.03-0.08%. It can be used in the production of rigid PVC items such as doors, windows, pipes, and panels; as well as soft items such as PVC synthetic leather, tarpaulins, and tents.
