Product Overview:
QM-9788 is a rust inhibitor formulated with a variety of special chelates. By complexing with the metal substrate, it prevents oxygen and moisture from contacting the substrate, effectively preventing corrosion and significantly increasing the salt spray resistance of the paint film. It can replace mineral anti-corrosion pigments and also has a certain anti-flash rust effect and adhesion-promoting effect, increasing adhesion to steel, aluminized, and galvanized substrates. QM-9788 is water- and oil-based, suitable for both water-based and ordinary solvent-based coatings.
Physicochemical Parameters:
Structure: A complex of various special pyrrolidone compounds
Effective Content: 40%
Solvent: Dipropylene glycol methyl ether
Appearance: Pale yellow to amber liquid
Solubility: Soluble in alcohols and alcohol ethers, insoluble in water
Product Characteristics:
During the coating film-forming process, it can cross-link with polymers, promoting film density and significantly improving salt spray resistance.
It enhances the adhesion of the film to metal substrates such as steel, aluminized, and galvanized materials.
It improves the water resistance of the film and reduces blistering.
It does not reduce the gloss of the film and is suitable for varnishes.
Application Systems:
It can be applied to various water-based and solvent-based coatings. It is added during the paint preparation stage and disperses evenly at high speed.
Recommended Dosage:
When used alone, the recommended addition amount is 1.5-3% of the total formula; when used in combination with other preservatives, the recommended addition amount is 0.8-2%, and the amount can be increased appropriately for special requirements.
Packaging and Storage:
25kg/drum or 200kg/drum.
The product should be stored in a cool, ventilated place. Unopened, the shelf life is 12 months from the date of production.
