QM-9461 Aluminum Powder Oriented Wax

Product Overview:

QM-9461 is an ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer wax dispersion used in solvent-based base coats or single-coat aluminum powder paints. It improves the directional arrangement of effect pigments such as aluminum powder and pearlescent powder, enhances the angle-dependent color effect, prevents large-area spraying color bleeding, and has a certain anti-settling effect.

Product Characteristics:

QM-9461 can be used to improve the orientation of special effect pigments (such as aluminum powder, pearlescent powder, etc.), prevent cloud-like color differences in large-area spraying, reduce short-wave defects (mottling, Bénard vortices), and enhance the angle-dependent color effect.

It also reduces sedimentation during storage and improves the stability of circulation pipelines.

Application Systems:

Suitable for aluminum powder paint, pearlescent paint, etc., it helps aluminum powder and pearlescent powder to orient themselves.

Recommended Dosage: 

A 50% additive dosage (purchased form) based on solid resin, or 8-15% of the total formulation (purchased form) is suitable for automotive paints, and 4-8% is suitable for industrial paints. The optimal addition amount is 1-1.5 times the amount of aluminum powder or pearlescent powder. This wax additive must be uniformly dispersed using a high-speed dispersion disc at a speed of 4 m/s, and then immediately added to the resin solution under stirring.

The product should be stored in a cool, ventilated place. Unopened, the shelf life is 24 months from the production date.
