QM 6900-20X Polyamide Wax Anti-settling Agent

Product Overview:

QM 6900-20X is a paste-like thixotropic agent composed of refined modified polyamide wax. It forms a strong network structure in paints, printing inks, and coatings, exhibiting excellent thixotropic properties and good dispersibility, providing superb anti-sagging, anti-settling, and thickening effects.

Product Characteristics:

SN6900-20X is easily dispersible and can be used without grinding: high-speed stirring is sufficient.

It exhibits excellent thixotropy, with superior anti-settling and anti-sagging effects compared to general anti-settling agents.

It improves the dispersion stability and thixotropy of the system, making it suitable for preventing the settling of pigments such as matte powders, glass powders, fillers, aluminum silver paste, copper gold powder, and pearlescent powders.

It helps aluminum powder and pearlescent powder flakes to orient and align, enhancing the glitter effect, maintaining viscosity stability, preventing pigment settling, and has minimal impact on gloss and weather resistance. No heating activation is required, and it has a wide operating temperature range (-15°C to 60°C).

Application Systems:

Suitable solvent systems include toluene, xylene, butyl ester, ethylene glycol monobutyl ether, and butanol. It can be applied to various solvent-based coatings, especially aluminum powder paint, pearlescent paint, and anti-corrosion coatings.

Recommended Dosage: 

The recommended dosage is 0.5-5% of the total formulation; it is recommended to prepare a pre-dispersed slurry first; the pre-dispersed slurry is made by high-speed dispersion of 20% QM 6900-20X and 80% xylene; it can also be directly added to the coating for high-speed dispersion. When using, the temperature should be controlled at -15~60°C and the stirring time should be less than 30 minutes; excessively long high-speed dispersion may damage the network structure and reduce thixotropy.

The product should be stored in a cool, ventilated place. Unopened, the shelf life is 24 months from the production date.
