Decyl glucoside, abbreviated as APG, is a novel nonionic surfactant formed by the chemical condensation of glucose and decanol, renewable natural plant resources. Due to its unique sugar-oil molecular structure, decyl glucoside possesses both hydrophilic and lipophilic properties. In water, it significantly reduces surface tension, producing rich and fine foam, and exhibits excellent wetting, emulsifying, and solubilizing abilities.

Function
Cleansing Products: Decyl glucoside has extremely low skin irritation, being gentler than traditional soap-based and amino acid surfactants. It is commonly used in cleansers for sensitive skin, makeup removers, and non-foaming cleansers.
Hair Care Products: Widely used in shampoos and conditioners, it effectively cleanses the scalp and hair, removing dandruff and oil. It also provides excellent smoothness and moisturizing effects, making it particularly suitable for children’s shampoos and meeting the “tear-free formula” safety requirements.
Skin Care Products: In addition to its cleansing properties, decyl glucoside can be used as an emulsifier to stabilize emulsion systems, helping moisturizing ingredients to better penetrate and remain in the skin.
Dishwashing Detergents: Used in the manufacture of environmentally friendly, phosphate-free dishwashing detergents. It effectively emulsifies and removes grease from tableware, rinses easily, and leaves no chemical residue.
Hard Surface Cleaner: Used for cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, floors, and glass. It has excellent cleaning and disinfecting abilities and is environmentally friendly.
Industrial Applications: In the textile printing and dyeing industry, decyl glucoside can be used as a high-temperature, strong alkali-resistant scouring agent; in oil extraction, it can be used as a foaming agent; in agriculture, it can be used as a pesticide emulsifier and synergist to improve pesticide utilization and efficacy.
