Bis(triethoxysilylpropyl)amine is a bifunctional organic compound with an ammonia-like odor, appearing as a pale yellow liquid; it is readily soluble in alcohols, as well as in aliphatic or aromatic compounds. In the presence of water, its ethoxysilyl groups undergo hydrolysis to generate active silanol groups, which can bond to inorganic materials.
