Rubber Antioxidant MMB is a grayish-white powder. It is odorless but possesses a bitter taste. It is soluble in ethanol, acetone, and ethyl acetate; sparingly soluble in petroleum ether and dichloromethane; and insoluble in carbon tetrachloride, benzene, and water. It exhibits good storage stability and serves as a non-staining secondary antioxidant.

Function

This product is suitable for use in both natural and synthetic rubbers; when used in combination with other antioxidants, it exhibits a synergistic effect. When applied in sulfur-free vulcanization systems, it imparts excellent heat resistance.

It also serves as a vulcanization accelerator for chloroprene rubber and as a heat sensitizer for rubber compounds.

Furthermore, this product is suitable not only for white and light-colored goods but for all types of rubber products; however, it is not intended for use in food-processing applications.
