3-(METHACRYLOYLOXY)PROPYLTRIS(TRIMETHYLSILOXY)SILANE is a special type of organofunctional silane. Its molecular structure contains an unsaturated double bond structure, methyl lactone, which can participate in free radical reactions, and three highly hydrophobic groups, namely trimethylsiloxy. This dual reactivity allows it to impart low surface energy and good hydrophobicity to polymer coatings through free radical polymerization, making it an environmentally friendly alternative to fluorinated hydrophobic coatings.
