ATMP is one of the most widely used scale inhibitors and corrosion inhibitors in industrial circulating cooling water systems.
Possessing excellent chelating capabilities, it serves as a metal cleaning agent, an acid pickling corrosion inhibitor, and a plating additive. It effectively removes oxides and oil stains from metal surfaces, prevents excessive corrosion of metals during acid pickling, and regulates the concentration of metal ions during the electroplating process to enhance plating quality.
It can be utilized as a cement retarder. By complexing with the calcium ions generated during cement hydration, it delays the setting time of the cement and improves the workability of the concrete.
Petrochemical Industry: It is employed in refinery circulating water systems and oilfield water injection systems to prevent scaling and corrosion in oil pipelines, thereby ensuring efficient water injection operations.
