DMEA pH adjuster

Product Overview:

DMEA is an organic adhesive compound that can be used as a pH adjuster in water-based coatings. Compared to pH adjusters such as AMP-95 and sodium hydroxide, DMEA has a smaller impact on paint film performance. When used in water-based anti-rust paints, the arc pair electrons contained in DMEA’s nitrogen atoms can be captured by lost metal ions, thus hindering further anodizing of the metal substrate and providing some protection against flash rust.

Product Characteristics:

Used in water-based and water-soluble coatings for pH adjustment, bringing the system to an alkaline state.

It has minimal impact on paint film performance.

Compared to nitrogen-based solutions and triethylamine, it has a slightly lower odor and is also suitable for amine neutralization systems.

Application Systems:

It is suitable for water-based industrial paints, water-based wood coatings, water-based inks and other systems.

Recommended Dosage: 

Generally, 0.5-1% of the total mass is appropriate to achieve the desired final pH value.

Packaging and Storage:

25kg/drum or 200kg/drum.

The product should be stored in a cool, ventilated place. Unopened, the shelf life is 12 months from the date of production.
