Evonik TEGO FOAMEX 10 is an economical water-based silicone defoamer for architectural coatings.

Advantages: Suitable for formulations meeting Ecolabel standards. Strong defoaming properties, particularly in pigmented, high-viscosity formulations. Suitable for use in coatings and plasters with medium to high PVC content. A preferred alternative to mineral oil defoamers.
Applications: Recommended for formulations with medium to high PVC content, particularly flat coatings.
Processing Instructions: Recommended addition as supplied, at a dosage of 0.2-1.0% of the total formulation. Use with low shear prior to use. Addition can be made during the grinding or letdown phase. The long-term effectiveness of the defoamer depends on the system and should be tested in different formulations (preferably at different temperatures).
Storage Stability: When stored in the original, unopened container at temperatures between +4°C and +40°C, the product has a shelf life of at least 12 months (from the date of production).
