Proteinase K is a powerful proteolytic enzyme isolated from Candida albicans with high specific activity and is a key reagent for DNA extraction. This enzyme has activity in the wider pH range (4～12.5) of Chemicalbook and high temperature (50～70 ℃), is used for the separation of plasmid or genomic DNA, RNA.

Proteinase K is frequently used in the field of molecular biology. When preparing nucleic acids, proteinase K can remove impurities and rapidly inactivate nucleases, preventing them from degrading target DNA and RNA.
