Platinum Electrode Product Description

Standard vs Reinforced
Standard: Single-sided welding is used, with 0.7mm diameter platinum wire connecting the platinum sheet.
Reinforced: Double-sided welding is used, with the platinum sheet embedded within a 1.5mm diameter platinum wire. This provides four times the structural strength of the standard version.

Platin Electrode Selection Recommendations:

Area Ratio: The recommended area ratio of the working electrode to the counter electrode is 1:1 or 1:2 (please refer to relevant literature for specific ratios).

Thickness Selection: The thickness of the platinum sheet has minimal impact on experimental performance, primarily affecting ease of use, bending resistance, and service life. Thicker platinum sheets are more durable.

Manufacturing process: 0.7mm diameter platinum wire is used to perform high-temperature welding on the platinum sheet. The welding point is embedded in the inside of the polytetrafluoroethylene rod and is permanently sealed and reinforced with epoxy resin glue.

Precautions for Use

1. Avoid Mechanical Stress: Do not bend or repeatedly pull the platinum sheet to prevent the weld between the sheet and the platinum wire from falling off.

2. Welding Point Instructions: The weld diameter (wire diameter) is determined based on product specifications (primarily considering cost and sheet weight). For higher strength, custom thickened and reinforced welds can be requested.

3. Service Life: Under standard operating conditions, the electrode lifespan is expected to exceed three years. Standard models do not have a warranty; we recommend purchasing reinforced models, which come with a one-year warranty.
