Product Overview:
QM-6368B is a fumed silica-modified silicone defoamer, suitable for solvent-based and solvent-free coatings and ink systems. It possesses strong defoaming and foam-inhibiting capabilities, along with high efficiency, providing excellent defoaming effects even at very low addition levels. It is particularly suitable for eliminating microbubbles in high-viscosity coating and ink systems. Compared to QM-6368A, QM-6385 has slightly poorer compatibility but better defoaming performance, making it suitable for systems that are particularly difficult to defoam.
Physicochemical Parameters:
Ingredients: Fumed silica modified polysiloxane
Appearance: Milky white, turbid, viscous liquid
Active content: 100%
Product Characteristics:
Suitable for solvent-based coating systems, possessing excellent defoaming capabilities and able to quickly break down foam;
Especially suitable for pigment-containing systems; for high-gloss clear coats and colored paints, its compatibility needs to be carefully evaluated;
Exhibits extremely high defoaming efficiency, showing excellent results even at very low addition levels.
Application Systems:
It is suitable for two-component epoxy systems (especially solvent-free self-leveling coatings), polyurethane systems, UV-curing coatings, and solvent-based or UV-curing screen printing inks.
Recommended Dosage:
Typically, the addition amount is 0.05-0.5% of the total weight, but in some ink systems, the addition amount can be as high as 3-5%. It is recommended to add it before grinding, but it can also be added at any stage of production. After adding, high-speed stirring is required to achieve good dispersion.
Packaging and Storage:
25 kg/drum.
The product should be stored in a cool, well-ventilated place. When unopened, the shelf life is 24 months from the date of manufacture.
