Product Overview:
QM-7592 is a bisamine silane coupling agent suitable for epoxy (must be added to polyamide curing agent), polyurethane, and other systems, increasing the adhesion of coatings to glass, metal, and ceramics. Due to the presence of amine groups, slight yellowing may occur during prolonged storage, but this does not affect performance. When using QM-7592 in water-based coatings, it must be added before application and not directly to the coating. When used in solvent-based coatings, attention should be paid to the solvent’s moisture content; high moisture content may affect storage stability.
Physicochemical Parameters:
Ingredients: N-(B-Z-ethyl)-Y-chloropropyltrimeth(eth)oxyalkane
Appearance: Pale yellow transparent liquid
Active content: >98.5%
Boiling point: 259°C
Solubility: Soluble in benzene and ether, and in acetone and carbon tetrachloride; soluble in water, but reacts with water.
Product Characteristics:
As an inorganic surface treatment agent, it can activate glass wool, silica, talc, mica, clay, and wollastonite;
In coating systems, it can increase adhesion to glass, ceramics, and metals;
It can participate in the cross-linking of paint films, thereby increasing the mechanical properties of the paint film;
Containing diamine groups, it cannot be added to epoxy resin systems.
Application Systems:
It can be used in polyurethane, chloroform, alkyd, and amino baking paint systems, and is also suitable for water-soluble and water-based coatings (it must be added before application and cannot be added directly to the coating to avoid hydrolysis and failure).
Recommended Dosage:
The recommended dosage is approximately 0.3% to 3.0%, and it can be added at any stage of production. When adding it to the coating, attention should be paid to the solvent’s moisture content, as high moisture content may affect storage stability. Before coating, all grease and liquid moisture on the substrate must be thoroughly cleaned.
Packaging and Storage:
25kg/drum or 200kg/drum.
The product should be stored in a cool, ventilated place. Unopened, the shelf life is 12 months from the date of production.
