QM-9779B Anti-flash rust additive

Product Overview:

QM-9779B is a flash rust inhibitor specifically designed for weld seams (especially submerged arc welding). It is formulated with a variety of special chelating compounds to inhibit flash rust and in-tank corrosion in various water-based coating systems, overcoming the challenge of flash rust prevention in metal substrate welds and providing a perfect solution for weld flash rust prevention. It contains multiple corrosion inhibitor components that create a passivation film on the coated metal surface, improving the coating’s corrosion resistance. Furthermore, the corrosion-inhibiting functional groups of the organic corrosion inhibitors adsorb onto the metal surface, reducing the active adsorption film on the metal and preventing corrosive substances from corroding the metal, thus compensating for corrosion caused by defects in the coating due to porosity.

Recommended Dosage: 

The general recommended addition amount is 0.5% to 2% of the total amount; in harsh environments (such as high humidity), the dosage can be increased appropriately or it can be used in combination with sodium nitrite. QM-9779B is prone to agglomeration or clumping into a paste when stored at low temperatures (below 10°C). Heating before use will not affect the final effect.

Packaging and Storage:

25kg/drum or 200kg/drum.

The product should be stored in a cool, ventilated place. Unopened, the shelf life is 12 months from the date of production.
