QM-T9742 Water-based anti-sagging agent

Product Overview:

QM-T9742 is a modified polyurea-based liquid rheology additive used in emulsion and water-dilutable resin systems to improve anti-settling and anti-sagging properties. It is also suitable for water-based color pastes. QM-T9742 produces a thixotropic effect and can be added later in the process. It is used in water-based and water-soluble coating systems. When QM-T9742 is added to water-based coatings with stirring, it forms a three-dimensional network structure, producing a thixotropic effect and low-shear thickening, thus preventing sedimentation and improving anti-sagging properties.

Product Characteristics:

Excellent anti-settling and anti-sagging properties, and excellent low-shear thickening effect;

Liquid additive, easy to add and use;

Insensitive to pH or temperature;

Increases viscosity at low shear rates without affecting application performance at high shear rates;

Sensitive to moisture. Slight turbidity during storage does not affect rheological performance;

The additive contains chloride ions; it is recommended to store the finished paint in plastic or internally coated packaging containers to avoid corrosion.

Application Systems:

Suitable for preventing sedimentation in water-based pigment and filler slurries, and can also improve the anti-sagging and leveling properties of coatings.

Recommended Dosage: 

For anti-settling, a dosage of 0.3-1.5% of the total amount is recommended.
For anti-sagging, a dosage of 0.3-3% of the total amount is recommended; the optimal dosage should be determined through experimentation. Adding it during the grinding stage achieves the best dispersion and effect, but it can also be added during the paint mixing stage.

Packaging and Storage:

25kg/drum or 200kg/drum.

The product should be stored in a cool, ventilated place. Unopened, the shelf life is 12 months from the date of production.
