QM-2004B Dispersant

Product Overview:

QM-2004B is a wetting and dispersing agent with anti-floating and anti-blooming capabilities. It is used to prevent floating and blooming phenomena in mixed-color paints containing titanium dioxide and other pigments, and it shows particularly significant effects. It can be added later to control floating and blooming in the paint can, and is especially effective in preventing white pigment floating. QM-2004B offers excellent anti-floating and anti-blooming performance.

Ingredients: Solution of high-molecular-weight polycarboxylic acid and polysiloxane

Product Characteristics:

The pigment exhibits excellent wetting and dispersion properties, forming hydrogen bonds and thixotropy in the resin system, preventing color floating, flocculation, sedimentation, and sagging.

The polysiloxane component it contains does not adversely affect the paint film and promotes leveling and improves tactile feel.

When the pigment is used in combination with other fillers, QM-2004B effectively prevents the formation of hard lumps.

Application Systems:

Suitable for medium to high polarity resin systems, recommended for alkyd, acrylic, amino baking paints, two-component polyurethanes, epoxy paints, and vinyl paints, etc.

Recommended Dosage: 

Generally, the recommended dosage is 0.1-0.4% of the total formulation or 20-50% of the bentonite content. It is recommended to add it before grinding, but it can also be added afterward. Adding an appropriate amount can control color separation and mottling; excessive addition will lead to reduced gloss, poor leveling, and foam stabilization issues.
