QM-2004N Dispersant

Product Overview:

QM-2004N is a wetting and dispersing agent with anti-floating and anti-blooming capabilities. It is used to prevent floating and blooming phenomena in mixed-color paints containing titanium dioxide and other pigments, and it shows particularly significant effects. It can be added later to control floating and blooming in the can, and is especially effective against white pigment floating. QM-2004N offers excellent cost-effectiveness.

Product Characteristics:

It exhibits excellent wetting and dispersion effects on pigments, forming hydrogen bonds and thixotropy in resin systems, thus preventing color separation, settling, and sagging;

The polysiloxane component it contains does not adversely affect the paint film and promotes leveling and improves tactile feel;

When pigments are used in combination with other fillers, QM-2004N can effectively prevent caking.

Application Systems:

Suitable for medium to high polarity resin systems, recommended for alkyd, acrylic, amino baking paints, two-component polyurethanes, epoxy paints, and vinyl paints, etc.

Recommended Dosage: 

Generally, the recommended dosage is 0.1-0.4% of the total formulation or 20-50% of the bentonite content. It is recommended to add it before grinding, but it can also be added afterward. Adding an appropriate amount can control color separation and mottling; excessive addition will lead to reduced gloss, poor leveling, and foam stabilization issues.
