MOF-808 is a zirconium-based metal-organic framework (Zr-MOF), whose chemical formula is generally represented as ZrO(OH)(BTC)(HCOO) or simplified to Zr-BTC, where BTC = 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid. This material uses hexatomized zirconium oxide clusters (ZrO(OH)) as nodes, linked by tricarboxylic acid ligands to form a three-dimensional framework structure, exhibiting highly controllable pores and a large specific surface area. The pore diameter of MOF-808 is approximately 18–20 μm, with both micropores and mesopores, making it suitable for a wide range of applications in gas adsorption, catalysis, and drug delivery.
