Isododecane and isohexadecane are highly branched synthetic hydrocarbon products. They are colorless, odorless, and transparent liquids with excellent performance and are very economical. They possess excellent physicochemical and toxicological safety, are virtually free of aromatics and sulfur, and are non-irritating and non-sensitizing to the eyes and skin, leaving the skin moisturized, refreshed, and non-greasy. They exhibit excellent solubility and compatibility with various active ingredients and oils, excellent powder dispersibility, low surface tension, and good thermal and oxidative stability.

Isododecane and isohexadecane can be used in various skin care products, sunscreens, lipsticks, eyeshadows, mascaras, creams, lotions, massage creams, deodorants, antiperspirants, foundations, facial cleansers, pressed powders, makeup removers, conditioners, and other products. They can also be used in water-alcohol systems such as shaving products, as emollients in spray products, and as plasticizers in dry fog hairsprays and other hair styling products.

3.It can improve the compatibility between different systems. It has very good compatibility, strong oil solubility, moderate drying speed, can be used as a carrier of organic solvents, can solubilize silicone products and some functional substances, and can be completely soluble in silicone oil, mineral oil and other hydrocarbons and iso-alkanes. It has good compatibility with wax, does not contain harmful substances, has low odor, is safe to use, and can be used in wax-based products such as makeup.

Features:

1. Isododecane is a mixture of highly branched dodecane isomers. Its molecular structure is predominantly polymethyl-based, significantly reducing crystallization tendency and improving low-temperature fluidity.
2. Surface tension is approximately 23-25 ​​mN/m, close to that of silicone oil, improving wetting properties. It can dissolve non-polar substances (such as oils and waxes) and has good compatibility with esters and silicone oils.
3. The volatility of isododecane is between that of n-alkanes and cyclic solvents, leaving no oil stains or white marks after drying.
4. It is non-allergenic, non-irritating, and resistant to oxidation, acids, and alkalis.
