Antioxidant 2246 is an antioxidant used in plastic and rubber products. It is one of the superior phenolic antioxidants, offering excellent protection against heat-induced oxidation, weathering, flexural aging, and variable-valence metals. It is suitable for both light-colored and colored rubber products. In the plastics industry, it provides protection against heat and light aging of chlorinated polyethers, impact-resistant PS, ABS resins, polymethyl ether, and fiber resins. It belongs to the hindered phenolic antioxidant class.

Widely used in industries such as polypropylene, polyethylene, polystyrene, polyvinyl chloride, chlorinated polyether, ABS, polyoxymethylene, and polyamide.
It has a good stabilizing effect on the thermal degradation of almost all polymers.
The typical dosage is 0.1-1.0%. In ABS plastics, the dosage is 0.12-3%. In rubber and plastic products, the dosage is 3-5%. In polypropylene granulation, the dosage is approximately 0.075%. If used in conjunction with the antioxidant DLTP at a dosage of 0.075%, the finished product will have even better anti-aging properties.
