QM-9776 Anti-flash rust additive

Product Overview:

QM-9776 is a rust inhibitor formulated with various special chelates. It also promotes adhesion and does not reduce the water resistance or salt spray resistance of the paint film. Containing multiple corrosion inhibitor components, it can form a passivation film on the coated metal surface, thereby improving the coating’s corrosion resistance. Furthermore, the corrosion-inhibiting functional groups of the organic corrosion inhibitors adsorb onto the metal surface, reducing the active adsorption film on the metal and preventing corrosive substances from corroding the metal. It also compensates for corrosion caused by defects in the coating due to porosity. QM-9776 is suitable for various water-based coatings, especially water-based epoxy and epoxy curing agents.

Solves the problem of flash rust that easily occurs in water-based coatings on weld seams, cast iron, and sandblasted iron, among other ferrous materials.

Effectively inhibits flash rust formation in water-based coatings during the drying process on ferrous substrates.

Solves the problem of rust re-emerging upon contact with water shortly after the paint film has dried.

Promotes adhesion without reducing the water resistance or salt spray resistance of the paint film.

Application Systems:

It is suitable for various water-based coatings, especially water-based epoxy and antioxidant coatings.

Recommended Dosage: 

The recommended addition amount is generally 0.5% to 2% of the total amount; in harsh environments (such as high humidity environments), the dosage can be increased appropriately or it can be used in combination with sodium nitrite.

Packaging and Storage:

25kg/drum or 200kg/drum.

The product should be stored in a cool, ventilated place. Unopened, the shelf life is 12 months from the date of production.
