Povidone-iodine is a highly effective, low-toxicity, broad-spectrum bactericide and disinfectant that effectively kills bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Its bactericidal mechanism involves the continuous release of free iodine through the carrier and solubilizing effect of povidone. This free iodine binds to cell membranes and cytoplasm, disrupting the metabolism of pathogenic microorganisms and causing their death, thus achieving disinfection and sterilization.

For skin disinfection and treatment of skin diseases, use a 5% solution;
